From the biztalk administration console (retreived from my start menu) i’m looking at the Event viewer (local).
Which event log are you checking.
If the receive location is being disabled then you should get an error in the application event log.You will need:
SQL2000-KB884525-SP4-ia64-ENU.EXE for the 64bit version of SQL 2000OR
SQL2000-KB884525-SP4-x86-ENU.EXE for the 32bit version of SQL2000
You may need
SQL2000.AS-KB884525-SP4-x86-ENU.EXE for Analysis Services if you are using BAM AnalysisAre you referring to PL/SQL Bind Variables on an Oracle Adapter?
I get nothing at all in the Event Log
Have you checked the event log yet.
What is the error message when the receive location is disabled? This is MuraliiKrish

i am suffering with the BIZTALK 2004 configuration problem.
I have installed all the necessary service packs for SQL server and XML ,but an error window occurs if Single sign on is configured at the finl stage.I think there must be some problem while configuring the single sign on server. Can you plz help me to resolve it?Thanks and regards
Murali Krishna KolliSo if all my file locations are read only the process will not work? I’m able to put my files into the receive location folder ok. Is it because it cannot write to the send locations? Because even though the send locations are read only (check box is ticked on properties dialog) I can still physically move files in and out of them, change folder names etc.
[quote:9a44cfffe7=\”nwalters\”]Does application event log give more details? or HAT?[/quote:9a44cfffe7]
Sorry it took so long to get back – we had some server problems.
The Event Viewer only says – The adapter failed to transmit message going to send port http://address of target. It will be retransmitted after the retry interval specified for this Send Port.
Details: ”Unable to write data to the transport connection.”The HAT says – ”Unable to write data to the transport connection.”
Is it likely that the problem is at the client’s end, rather than at ours?
hi Venkatesh,
Uninstall ur Biztalk server and SQL server.then install all the necessary service packs for SQL like SQL XML service pack. then install Biztalk server and try again the configuration. it will work well. Read the informations carefultly while installing. it will work fine. all the best amn. i too ahd the same problem firstNote that you can create a scripting functoid that has no links in or out, and it acts as a global. For instance, if you set a variable (say \”int i = 0;\”) in a scripting functoid at the top, you could use \”i\” in any other functoid later on. In your case, you MAY want to call your proc from the topmost scripting functoid, save the variable in a global, and access it later where needed.
Are you routing on these fields, or just programming against them in an orchestration? Unless you’re routing, use distinguished fields, not promoted properties.
If the folder is read-only then the receive location will fail and be disabled.
You will need to turn off read-only on the folder before this will work.[quote:deb68ee2b5=\”Anonymous\”]Let me clarify.
Do I need to deploy the policies and then export them
Or I export them and import them in another system and deploy it?Will the first case work[/quote:deb68ee2b5]
The second one.
