I think you might have some hard times. I have read about some problems with both installed: http://weblogs.asp.net/cschittko/archive/2004/11/21/267595.aspx
On my home computer, I had Biztalk 2004 and VS 2003 installed. Then, I installed VS 2005. I don’t know what would happen if I uninstalled and reinstalled Biztalk 2004.
I saw a posting on Scott Woodgate’s blog about needing to set Biztalk 2004’s config setting to use .net 1.1 vs 2.0. But, I don’t think that’s your problem since you can not get it installed.
I don’t know
Sorry I couldn’t be of more help.
Hello.
I think you can do with a new different ways.
One way is just to set up a Send Port for each Partner with the correct transport type. The, use direct binding out of the Orchestation and route the messages to the correct trading partner based on SourceFileName. Just make sure you set up the subscriptions right otherwise you will get into an endless loop.
Another way to do it is to use Role Links. This way, you set up one Role for each partner. Then, you define a property to route your message to the Role (in your case SourceFileName). Then, you add the Send Port for the partner into the Role. This way you have a lot less risk in routing errors but you have a little more work to do.
Hope this helps.
This is a great comment.
Anything that causes additional messages to be send inside Biztalk will decrease performance – even using Biztalk internal tracking will decrease performance.
Did you look at this sample: https://www.biztalkgurus.com/Samples/Delivery-Notification-NAck-Orchestration.html
You should be able to be it with just using Delivery Notification. That will give you the Biztalk NACK on Adapter Error.
You can not easily catch ACKs.
This will give you the Biztalk NACK / ACK. Is that what you are looking for or is it something HIPPA specific?
i need some kind help currently i am working on biztalk server 2004 i have an issue related to transaction handling in following scenario.
i have an orchestration that is doing something in an atomic transaction,
then it calls a .net component that do something in his own transaction and then commit it and problem starts from here, if later on i do roll back
then the work done by .net component does not roll baked.
i cant avoid .net components suggest me some solution.thnx in advance
Farukh.October 6, 2005 at 3:49 PM in reply to: ERROR 0X8009000F while biztalk configuration during sso #12031I hear you. About 6 months ago I had an XP SP2 install and it just never worked. I rolled it back to SP1 and still didn’t work. I finally re imaged the laptop with SP2 and it worked perfect the first time. I’m sure we could all go on and on with install horror stories
I just don’t get it. It seems like they have a random error generator.
In any case, did you try adding Full Control to Everyone on the C:\\Windows\\Temp folder?
Otherwise, the Beta of Biztalk 2006 is available. It’s a much better installation process but you need VS 2005.
October 6, 2005 at 11:45 AM in reply to: ERROR 0X8009000F while biztalk configuration during sso #12029I m using windows XP professional with service pack 2(i have done all gpedit/regedit) patch work here

I do delete the SSO/other DBs and accounts/groups manually before retyring something else but result is same ,
what object it is not expecting in its place to be created and why cant biztalk config setup reuses existing objects
i cant figure out as the LOG doesnt give much more detailed analysiswhy is this product released like this , i cant understand , though i agrre that it (Biztalk 2004) has some path breaking unifications (comm servc, portal, sso ,web service ,…) which fools like me are trying to explore
thanks again for comforting insights into production support , some nightmare-maker this Biztalk support right!
Hello.
You need to have the Standard Edition to use a Remote SQL. Also, I think the Partner Edition only works with the low end SQL Database (it’s free and included with the software).
You can get all the details on the Biztalk License FAQ: http://download.microsoft.com/download/e/6/f/e6fcf394-e03e-4e15-bd80-8c1c127e88e7/LicensingFAQ.doc
Hope this helps.
October 5, 2005 at 6:05 PM in reply to: ERROR 0X8009000F while biztalk configuration during sso #12030You might want to make sure you run configframework.exe /u and delete all the biztalk and sso db’s before you run the wizard again. Are you using a remote SQL Server on a Domain? Or is this a single server install? What OS?
If it makes you feel any better, 2 of the past 3 times I have done production installations of Biztalk we had to call Production Support. One call took 2 days!
Keep your head up! Life gets easier in Biztalk 2006.
October 5, 2005 at 6:00 PM in reply to: Failed to generate the master secret (error code 0X8009000F) #14211Is the user you are running the installation under an Admin and a member of the SSO Admin group? Also, make sure your user is an SA / Admin in SQL.
See if that helps.

Hey Stephen,
Those steps didn’t help, so I just made a backup of my work, and started another project clean (since I obviously wasn’t too far along :P). Works like a charm! Thanks so much for your help, such a simple solution, but then again it was a simple problem. Thanks!

[quote:2339a6e8e6=\”Stephen W. Thomas\”]Yes, I do not think you need to use an Envelope in this case.
I would first break the message up and get it into Xml. If you need to remove the Envelope later on, you can do it inside a map in the Orchestation or Send port.
Do you think that will work for you?[/quote:2339a6e8e6]
OK, when I change my schema, the pipeline is still trying to use the message type \”http://blah.blah#ENVs\”, rather than \”http://blah.blah#ENV\” (no s).
How can I change that? I completely took out that node of the schema.
Sorry, I didn’t get all the files.
Can you send via email to swthomas@biztalkgurus.com?
I think that would be easer.
