SQL Server Agent – Supported Service Account Types

A SQL Server gotcha for today – following the installation of a SQL Server 2005 active/passive cluster I ran the Microsoft Baseline Security Analyser (sorry Analyzer) to check that nothing was missing or incorrectly configured. Halfway through the report I noticed the following warning regarding the SQL Server Agent Service:

Upgraded to Community Server 2007 – How’s things working?

Today (on Tuesday November 6th) I have upgrade the blogs and forums of BizTalkGurus.com to the newest version of Community Server 2007.

You may have noticed the site was down for about an hour during the upgrade and everyone will have to login again.

Please post a comment here or send me an email if you have any problems with the upgrade.

The only problem I seem to be having is I keep getting logged out every few minutes.  If anyone else has this problem, let me know.

All my forum and blog templates have been reset to the base layout.  So over the next few days (ok maybe week or two) I’ll up trying to get them back to normal or at least updating them to something other than the default.

I’m also thinking of removing or stopping the aggregated blog posts I have on the site (http://www.biztalkgurus.com/blogs/biztalksyn/).

Does anyone use this feature of the site?  Love to get some feedback on this.

Thanks.

Robust Error Handling for BizTalk Solutions Presentation

I presented at the Microsoft SOA and Business Process Conference last week in Redmond. The title of the presentation was:

Robust Error Handling for BizTalk Solutions.

I did the presentation once on Thurs Nov 1 and again on Friday Nov 2. A number of people who attended the
presentation were asking for the demo code and powerpoint. The zipped code is here and the powerpoint from the presentation is here. Hopefully when I have more time, I will try to write a more formal blog entry describing some of the techniques for error handling in BizTalk. Also for anybody who attended the conference and missed my presentation, you can catch the recorded presentation on a post conference DVD, that should be mailed out to all attendees in the next month or so.

Microsoft SOA & Business Process Conference

For those who attended my session on BizTalk Server 2006 R2 and HIPAA Transactions

at the Microsoft SOA & Business Process Conference you can download

the slides now from this site. Conference attendees will also eventually

have access to a recording of the session but that may be weeks in the comings.
