Twin Cities BizTalk User Group Website

The Twin Cities BizTalk User Group website is up and running (it actually has been for a while – I am just way behind on my blogging).

The website can be found at www.mnbiztalk.com.

The site contains information about future presentations and future meeting dates.  The site also contains lists of our past presentation topics as well as links to the presentations or additional material.

The site also contains one of the largest lists of BizTalk bloggers on the web.

ENTSSO is backwards compatible

ENTSSO is backwards compatible

I don’t know if this is old news or what, but I just discovered that ENTSSO systemin BizTalk 2006 is backwards compatible with BizTalk 2004. This means that you can have a BizTalk Server 2004 group and BizTalk Server 2006 group running side by side (during an upgrade cycle for instance) both running off the same SSO system.

MVP Summit / Stag Night

MVP Summit / Stag Night

Like Tomas I’m
hanging out at the MVP Summit this week (didn’t see you at that party though Tomas).

Anyway –  Alan Smith organized
a meet-up for some of the BizTalk MVPs – and turned it into a sort of stag event (since
I am getting married on Saturday).

Thanks Alan!

The funniest thing was the gift that he made me – here is a picture of it (it included
pints of Guinness – as well as an Non-disclosure agreeement – priceless.

Off Topic: In Seattle for the MVP Summit

I find myself once again in sunny Seattle along with 1900 of my closest friends trying to figure out which bus leads to the convention center hosting the MVP Summit (LOL). Seriously, this is the end of my first year as a Microsoft MVP and it's been an incredible experience. I feel very fortunate having been chosen for MVP status and it's been a real pleasure working with the Commerce Server team and everyone in the developer community. The MVP Summit is also a great place to hook up with old friends and codebetter.com blogger buddies and to meet some of the many MVPs here from around the world.

I just want to thank everyone that reads my blog and participates in the developer community (newsgroups, forums, etc.). Without you folks, the past year wouldn't have been half as fun!

Thanks for reading!!!

MVP Summit: Sleepy and Wet In Seattle

MVP Summit: Sleepy and Wet In Seattle

Seattle is known for its rain. And it’s justified.

Two portuguese mvp’s at the summit tihs year are known for being sleepy and wet from the rain. 🙂 Went to Palermo’s party tonight, where we met some of the 40 Brasilian MVPs attending. An estimated 1900 MVPs and RDs from almost 90 countries are comming to be biggest summit ever. There are few BizTalk Mvp’s, but I already managed to bump into four. Geekland. 🙂

MVP Summit: Getting Ready

MVP Summit: Getting Ready

My second trip to USA’s East Coast will be to Seattle/Redmond, where the MVP Summit is being held. My agenda, the Connected Systems Track (“BizTalk, WCF and WF experts will all be “Connected Systems experts” in the future”), includes a day and an half of in-depth technical sessions held in Redmond, 14 sessions on BizTalk, WCF, WF and Identity Management.

Short sessions, several of them of level 400, and most of all the oportunity to learn, and meet other BizTalk MVPs from around the world and the Product Group. The general part of the event will include talks by BillG, as well as Don Box and Chris Anderson.

I’ll let you know what the “mothership” looks like. 🙂
