Upgrade from BizTalk Server 2000 and BizTalk Server 2002
For upgrading from BizTalk Server 2000 or BizTalk Server 2002 to BizTalk Server 2006, the process will not be automated. Instead, you can migrate from and interoperate with BizTalk Server 2002. To migrate from BizTalk Server 2002 to BizTalk Server 2006, launch a new BizTalk Server Migration Project from Visual Studio 2005 and follow the wizard to begin the migration. Note BizTalk Server 2000 will be leaving mainstream lifecycle support on June 30, 2006.
Upgrade from BizTalk Server 2004
BizTalk Server 2006 is designed to allow an easy upgrade from BizTalk Server 2004 with Service Pack 1. The process is automated and wizard based. The following table indicates the supported upgrade scenarios on SKU.
