    Hi kuunuu,

Multiple scenario is available to implement this concept.

    1.       Let assume that if ur orch1 is having dependency with orch2 and orch3, you use call orchestration shape and pass the value while calling it.

    1. if orch1 does not have dependency with orch2 and orch3, you can use start orchestration shape and pass the value while calling it
    2. Use direct binding and as per your scenario two subscribers (orch2 and orch3) have to receive the msg, so you can set the filter and message type.

    Regards

    Benit

    Hi,

You are probably better off using this commercial solution:

In general BizTalk provides several Adapters (SOAP, HTTP, FILE,  FTP, SQL, WCF….etc) to integrate with different heterogeneous applications. BizTalk can provide respective Adapter based on the target application’s understandable protocol.

To begin with BizTalk learning you can follow following links for Videos, Lessons, Articles, Blogs etc:

Thanks for providing these links.   I’ll check them out.

Another question: Do BizTalk developers all have background in web or windows applications?  Are BizTalk developers a higher level of developers?

    Hi Folks,

I’m very new to biztalk, but have a background in coding, writing SQL, XML, C#, Java, and many more.

I’ve been tasked with creating an orchestration which reads information from stored procedures on a sybase database.  I’ve written and tested a stored procedure, which reads new records from a table, then marks a read flag, and works well.  I’ve setup the ODBC Adapter & have tested it running normal SQL statements, and again, this works as expected.  Now I’m trying to use the ODBC adapter with the stored procedure, and am having a few issues.

When using the test harness to run the procedure, I receive the error “Your tested failed: Receive Port query processing failed: ERROR [07001][DataDirect][ODBC Sybase Wire Protocol driver]Value has not been specified for parameter 1.”.

As my procedure takes no parameters, I assumed this must be something which is passed by biztalk when using the generated schema in a receive port.  I therefore tested it in an orchestration, to find the following error in the application event log: “GetBatchOfMessagesAndSubmit Error: Receive Port query processing failed: ERROR [42000] [DataDirect][ODBC Sybase Wire Protocol driver][SQL Server]Incorrect syntax near ‘.’.”, coming from the ODBCAdapter.

The adapter I’m using comes from here: http://www.twoconnect.com/Default.aspx?tabid=269 (as the gotdotnet version no longer seems available).  This is reported to work with Sybase 15, though there’s no mention of it being tested against v12.

Has anyone got any ideas on what I’ve done wrong, or if this is an issue with the adapter itself?  If this is an adapter issue, do you have any suggestions on how I could talk to the sybase database stored procedures (e.g. is there a different ODBC adapter / could they be called using linked servers on SQL Server, then hooking the normal SQL adapter up to that)?

    Thanks in advance,

    JB

    Hi Sach,

The MQSC on 64 bit is a separate download.

    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/939202

It doesn’t state that Biztalk 2009 is supported – it only states 2006, but my experience is that it works with both 2006R2 and 2009 on the 64 bit platform.

    Hi,

There are two things to consider:

    1) You can use BRE without BizTalk, implement rules and policies that you can invoke from a .NET application (web or windows).

    2) BRE is a natural fit for BizTalk, as it allows business users to compose/change rules and policies (without the involvement of developers) as the business evolves, and these rules/policies act upon the messages passing through the BizTalk engine.

    Hello.

I have a few examples here: http://www.biztalkgurus.com/media/tags/Convoys/default.aspx?GroupID=11 that might help.

What you are doing sounds correct, but I’m not sure the delay is right.  Just make sure it counts down otherwie it will delay 60 more minutes each time a message is received.

    Hope this helps.

    Dear all,

I am getting error while congfiguring BizTalk Runtime on our test server(Windows 2008 Server). Its a multiple server installation ( 1. Domain controller 2. BizTalk Server 2009 3. SQL Server 2008) and for all operating system is Windows Server 2008. BizTalk Group and SSO are configured successfully but while configuring BizTalk runtime it showing an error in the log file as.. “New transaction cannot enlist in specified transaction coordinator”. I already done lots of modification related to MSDTC to make sure its functionality. But same error persists.. After that I used the DTCTester.exe tool to check the DTC between BizTalk machine and SQL Server machine. This tool showing an error as ” New transaction cannot enlist in specified transaction coordinator”. While troubleshooting this i followed the stpes mentioned in(http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;306843). and did following modification in the registry

     ——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Configure both servers so that MS DTC communication flows between the firewall. Follow these steps to control RPC dynamic port allocation. Note You must follow these steps on both computers. Note The firewall must be open in both directions for the specified ports. To start Registry Editor, click Start, click Run, type regedt32, and then click OK. You must use the Regedt32.exe file instead of the Regedit.exe file. The Regedit.exe file does not support the REG_MULTI_SZ data type that is required for the Ports value. In Registry Editor, expand the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Rpc Click the RPC folder, and then click Add Key on the Edit menu. In the Add Key dialog box, type Internet in the Key Name box, and then click OK. Click the Internet folder, and then click Add Value on the Edit menu. In the Add Value dialog box, type Ports in the Value Name box. In the Data Type box, select REG_MULTI_SZ, and then click OK. In the Multi-String Editor dialog box, specify the port or ports that you want RPC to use for dynamic port allocation in the Data box, and then click OK. Each string value that you type specifies either a single port or an inclusive range of ports. For example, to open port 5000, specify “5000”. To open port 5000 to port 5020 inclusive, specify “5000-5020”. You can specify multiple ports or ports ranges by specifying one port or port range per line. All ports must be in the range of 1024 to 65535. If any port is outside this range or if any string is invalid, RPC treats the whole configuration as invalid. We recommend that you open ports from 5000 and higher, and that you open a minimum of 15 to 20 ports. Follow step e through step h to add another key. Use the following values: Value: PortsInternetAvailable Data type: REG_SZ Data: Y This signifies that the ports that are listed under the Ports value are to be made Internet-available. Configure your firewall to allow for incoming access to the specified dynamic ports and to port 135 (the RPC Endpoint Mapper port). Restart the computer. After RPC restarts, it assigns incoming ports dynamically, based on the registry values that you have specified. For example, to open ports 5000 through 5020 inclusive, create the following named values: Ports : REG_MULTI-SZ : 5100-5200 PortsInternetAvailable : REG_SZ : Y UseInternetPorts : REG_SZ : Y DTC also requires that you can resolve computer names by using NetBIOS or DNS. You can test whether NetBIOS can resolve the names by using the PING protocol and the server name. The client computer must be able to resolve the name of the server. Additionally, the server must be able to resolve the name of the client. If NetBIOS cannot resolve the names, you can add entries to the Lmhosts files on the computers.

    —————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

After doing the above change in the registry of both the machine. I tried to test again with the DTCTester tool. Now it showing following error—– “The partner transaction manager has disabled its support for remote/network transactions”. I

already done changes in MSDTC for many times and restarted the machine. but no luck.

I am stucked on this problem for more than 8 hours…………. Reqesting to all of you…… please help me to resolve this issue.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Abhijit

Check your DTC configurations. Use the following tools

DTCTester  – Most BizTalk Server runtime operations require Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator (MSDTC) support to ensure that the operations are transactionally consistent. If MSDTC transaction support is not available, then the associated BizTalk Server runtime operations cannot proceed. Use the DTCTester tool to verify distributed transaction support across firewalls or against networks. The DTCTester utility uses ODBC to verify transaction support against a SQL Server database and therefore requires that SQL Server is installed on one of the computers being tested. For more information about DTCTester

    Read KB Article http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;293799

     DTCPing –

Use the DTCPing tool to verify distributed transaction support across firewalls or against networks. The DTCPing tool must be installed on both the client and server computers and is a good alternative to the DTCTester utility when SQL Server is not installed on either computer. For more information about using DTCPing to verify distributed transaction support,

    Read KB Article –

Still you are getting the issue please let me know

Best bet would be a check on the MSDN BizTalk site …

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/biztalk/default.aspx

It’s got installation guide and other things … been updated to BTS 2009, but there was an equivalent for BTS 2006 R2 that I used to create my virtual

The virtual is Win2003, VS2005, 2 Gb Mem, 30Gb disk

    Hi Tony!

Happy to see the Swedish BTS-scene expanding further! I hope you’ve heard about BizTalk User Group Sweden – BUGS – http://biztalkusergroup.se/default.aspx

First Question: In short, whenever you’d like to manipulate/read/validate the data of your message you will need to create schemas. So just passing the message from A to B there’s no need for schemas. If you as well would like to reformat the message (map message) into another message-type, schemas are needed.

Second Question: Mostly, a BizTalk developer (at least this is true for me) uses Visual Studio (schema/map creation tools) and the BizTalk Server Administration Tool (setting up ports/subscriptions etc).

I doubt you will find any useful sizing figures. Throughput is dependent on a lot of variables. For example processing a 100 byte request will be a lot faster than a 100MB file.
A good start would be here: http://blogs.msdn.com/biztalkperformance/default.aspx
