I have a nagging issue while deploying WCF LOB Adapter SDK. Although I can deploy and execute the applications successfully, I often fail to see the “Consume WCF Adapter” option in the “Add Generated Item” shortcut menu.

This issue manifests when I am deploying the Adapter pack on a x64 platform Vista or Windows 2008 server (not R2). On a up and running development BizTalk server 2009 with VS 2008 SP1 and SQL 2008 with SP1, the installation sequence I follow is:
WCF LOB Adapter Pack x86 – required for 32bit send/receive handlers
WCF LOB Adapter Pack x64 – required for 64bit send/receive handlers
WCF LOB Adapter SDK x64 – required for associated VS add-ins and templates.

      What have I missed?
      How can I fix it?

      Your help is appreciated.

      Kind regards
      Bibhakar Saran

      Just found the answer:

I must install the Adapter Pack SDK SP2 before installing the WC LOB Adapter Packs
