We are using Code Plex’s Tcp Adapter in our live envionrment with
BizTalk Server 2006. Recently we are getting a strange scenario ie. Any of the
Tcp port will automatically get disable with the following message.

The receive location “CustPersInfoInqRecSendPort” with URL
“TCP://kci-biztalk01:4758″ is shutting down. Details:”Only one usage of each
socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted”.

We have confirmed that the port 4758 is
not in use by any other application and even no body requested the BizTalk at
      the time of its disabling.

Now the simple solution is to restart the
receive location which we did, but the problem is that unless we restart the
TcpHostInstance (separate for Tcp) it would not give the response.

In short can any body answer the following
questions. In the meanwhile we have decided to move to R2 but for now this is an
      issue.

      1. Whey the port is getting disabled
      automatcially.

      2. Why the instance is requiring a restart
      despite enabling the receive location.

      Thanks

      Faisal
