      Hello.

Is it possible to schedule an orchestration that means that the orchestration runs every 4 hours?

Background: Over an orchestration I call a stored procedure which get some datas and send a xml file to another location. Now I want run the orchestration every 4 hours, that all new datas are moved somewhere else.

      Is this possible or do?

      Thanks in advanced.

      Wolfgang

      Hi Wolfgang,

Have you taken a look at the Scheduled Task Adapter on Codeplex? Here’s a link to that:

I believe it also works on BizTalk 2009 platform.

        Hello Daniel.

Looks pretty nice so far – thanks for the link, i will check this out.

Another way could be to use the windows scheduler to put a file into an folder where the receive pipeline is watching for it, is this right?

        Thanks again

        Wolfgang

          Hi Wolfgang,

Yes, you could use a job in the windows scheduler to place the file in the folder at given times, but you would have to keep track of that separately, and personally, I prefer to keep things running in BizTalk within the boundaries of BizTalk platform as opposed to under the control of the OS.

             Daniel.
