Question: Do I need to purge my MSSQL database or change a configuration or clear something in BizTalk?  I don’t remember having this problem until last Saturday when I dropped 1600 messages through.  Now I can’t drop more than a few xml’s without errors.

Details: When I drop a group of messages, I get Error#1 below every 5 seconds in the Event Viewer.  If I only have a few messages they end up getting through and the Event Viewer errors stop, but if I drop a lot of messages through, they end up throwing Error#2 below.

      Error #1: The following stored procedure call failed: ” { call [dbo].[bts_UpdateMsgbox_BizTalkServerApplication]( ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?)}”. SQL Server returned error string: “Transaction (Process ID 54) was deadlocked on lock resources with another process and has been chosen as the deadlock victim.

      Error #2:

Message is:  Exception occurred when persisting state to the database.
