         Hello Pros,

        Is it possible to scale out/fail-over with 2 physical servers running BizTalk 2006 – Standard Editon? As the official pricing and editions page from Microsoft BizTalk Sever says that the standard edition is

        – Limited to two CPUs on a single server

        – Single server solution/single message box

        Help please; as I need to decide which edition to choose!

          I think you would need to have a separate BizTalk server running Standard Edition in order to have a fail-over scenario. You could them implement BizTalk log shipping as documented at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc296596.aspx and http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc296743.aspx.

          Also, the BizTalk standard edition license limits you to 5 BizTalk applications as well.
