      Hi All!!

Suppose I make a physical receive port with location in the Biztalk Administration Console inside a deployed biztalk project. Ok now I want to reuse this physical port, in other biztalk projects. I mean can I bind this physical receive port to an orchestration in another project? This can be very useful in cases where multiple applications are putting there messages on a single location, all the messages are different and are meant for different orchestrations, that single Receive location will pick them up, check there type and route it to the appropriate orchestration.

If this is not possible, then what is the logical reason for it.

      Regards,
      Sajid.

Sure it's possible. Just bind the physical port to all necessary orchestrations. Projects have nothing to do with it because messaging ports are purely a configuration-time concern. Note, however, that if the ports and orchestrations are in different BizTalk Applications, you'll need to add a reference from one application to the other in the biztalk management console.
