In the Biztalk 2006 help files, it only tells you how to restore biztalk databases onto a 2nd server using log shipping. What do you do, if like me, you do not have this luxury and you’re having to run the whole thing on the one server without it being fault tolerant, this doesn’t appear to even get a mention in the help files.
In that case, I think you’ll just have to have daily, hourly, etc database backups that you can use to restore the whole server if needed. That is about the best you can do in a one server scenario.
The importance of frequent backups is reduced if you don’t have processes that maintain state (i.e. long running Orchestrations).
Hope this helps.
