mapping ?

I am mapping the accident for the hipaa 278 transaction and the node is empty on the source and not required according to the implementation guide but I get the error is is optional on the source but required on the destination.

Also, I conditionally map it I get an error dtp01 expected but if I do not map it at all I do not get any errors.

Any ideas? There are not any good examples of this on the web…
