I have following components in my project. 3 schemas: PO, PO2, Invoice. 2 maps. POToINV, PO2ToINV. Messages:ReqPO (PO), ReqPO2 (PO2), ResInv (Invoice), ResInv2 (Invoice)
I created a parallel shape and dragged receive shapes on each branch. Receive shape1 is ReqPO and Receive shape2 is ReqPO2. Set Activate to true for both of them. These receive shapes are connected to different receive ports. These 2 receives shapes are of different message type.
After the parallel shape, COnstruct Shape that contains a transform shape, this has mapping for POToINV. After the construct shape, there is one more COnstruct Shape that contains a transform shape, this has mapping for PO2ToINV.
Then i have one send shape for ResINV and one more for ResINV2. Both send shapes i connected to same send port of message type Invoice.Message are picked up properly. I am not getting any output. But there is no error in event viewer. Message status is
Is it mandatory to create correlation set for Parallel shapes always. Here i am receiveing 2 different types of messages. -
If you are using parallel shape then, Orchestration will not proceed unless both the branches complete the execution. Once execution of parallel branch is complete, then only it will proceed further and write something to send port. In your case I think you are expecting one message will be received at a time from either of receive port, then to make it work you have to use correlation.
In current situation, if you check HAT, you will see that your Orchestration instances are Dehydrated (as they were waiting for other receive port to receive something).
