      Hi there,

I want to track all files going through biztalk by specific fields, e.g. by invoiceID.

      What i did:
      1. Promoted the field in schema
      2. tick the tracking option in Receive Port & Send Port

After i sending some files through, and using HAT/Find Message, there’s no Message Property Filter for me to choose.

Also when i try to save all the tracked message i got the Error:
The message was not found in the Message Box or the tracking databases. This may be caused by: 1)message tracking is not enabled; 2) the message is no longer referenced by a running or suspended service instance; 3) the message box tracking tables have been automatically purged or 4)the SQL server agent is not running on the Message Box servers.

My question: how to enable tracking function properly and can track message by promoted properties?

      Cheers
      Merry

You’ll want to make sure your tracking host is enabled. Check your hosts in BizTalk Server Admin and make sure one of them has the Allow Host Tracking box checked. Also note there is a delay in getting the tracking data and your SQL Server jobs need to be running.

Other then that, it sounds like what you are doing should work.

Another note on getting the error: “The message was not found in the Message Box or the Tracking databases. This may be caused by one of the following conditions: (1) message tracking is not enabled; (2) the message(s) is no longer referenced by a running or suspended service instance; (3) the Message Box tracking tables have been automatically purged; or (4) the SQL Server agent is not running on the Message Box servers.”

Make sure whoever sets up the SQL Server Agents does it under the service account intended for that and not their own login!
