I get the following error trying to process a 999 EDI Message

An output message of the component “Unknown ” in
      receive pipeline “Microsoft.BizTalk.Edi.DefaultPipelines.EdiReceive,
      Microsoft.BizTalk.Edi.EdiPipelines, Version=3.0.1.0, Culture=neutral,
PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35” is suspended due to the following error:

           Error encountered during
parsing. The X12 transaction set with id ‘0001’ contained in functional group
with id ‘1’, in interchange with id ‘000000001’, with sender id
      ‘********     ‘, receiver id ‘******   ‘
is being suspended with following errors:

      Error: 1 (Miscellaneous error)

517: Message Type 999 is not allowed as part of the Agreement.

There is no way to indicate in the supported transaction list to accept a 999 transaction

its not in the dropdown list

Is there some other way that one sets this up?

999 was moved into the base artifacts in 2013

      Hi,

You need to check the party set up (Agreement) , In receive section there is an option to exclude transaction sets check if '999' is part of excluded list.

The actual issue is a bug in biztalk 2013. I was working with Microsoft, they will have a fix for it out sometime during the next critical update window, whenever that is.

You cant actually have an accepted transaction list. That will cause the 999 to be rejected. Grrr
