Help with biztalk message validation

Hi guys, sorry for this nooby question but i’m trying to implement validation that ensures that a message is valid when compared to the schema and that the fields contain the correct information(length, datatype, format) how would i go about implementing this and if the message turns out to be invalid how would i then send a bad response 400 message back in response? thanks in advance
