Hi Everyone,
I trying to config the Biztalk Server 2009 on a Windows Server 2008 Std and SQL Server 2008 Std. And I got this error when I tried to config the Biztalk Server:
Failed to connect to the SQL database SSODB on SQL Server ‘SQLServerName’. (SSO).
This happens when I enable the Enterprise Single Sign-On, then appears the X symbol on Data Store Name.
I created the account to run the services for biztalk and put it on Administrators Group and SQL Administrators, too.
Any idea why about this?
Thanks in advanced.

Looks like in the setup you left the default value “SQLServerName” for the database. Try putting in the actual db there.

One of the very commone things, but hard to solve because most people don’t know the answer. I have searched days for an answer and hopefully this answer is the one for you too.
The best solution I found was to re-register the ssosql.dll on the following manner:
1. start the visual studio command prompt
2. go to the ssosql.dll C:\Program Files\Common Files\Enterprise Single Sign-On
3. regasm ssosql.dll
and probably you are finished.

Hi.
Did you run after installation the Microsoft VizTalk Server Best Practices Analyser? Perhaps it has some more information.
Have you tried to configure your BizTalk 2009 Server using Basic Configuration?
Did you enable TCP/IP and Named Pipes?
//Edit … uuups … too late …
