When I am trying to start the stopped host instance, I am getting the error saying

TITLE: BizTalk Server 2006 Administration Console
      ——————————

Starting instance of host BizTalkServerApplication on server USDT0401808 failed.

      For help, click: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=47400&ProdName=Microsoft+BizTalk+Server+2006+R2&ProdVer=3.6.1404.0&EvtSrc=Microsoft.BizTalk.Administration.SnapIn.Properties.Errors&EvtID=HostInstance_UnmapServerHostInstanceFailed

      ——————————
      ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Failed to start the BizTalk Host instance. Check the event log on the server “USDT0401808” for more details.

Internal error: “The dependency service or group failed to start.” (WinMgmt)

Recently I changed password for account under which biztalk is running. Please let me know if it is an issue because of it and what are the changes we need to make?

      Sidhu,

I would suggest that you haven’t updated the password for the Host Instance Windows Service. Try updating the password under the ‘Log On’ tab and see how you get on.

      Rgds, Nick.

Found the solution. On changing the password, the SSO Service was stopped because of logon failure. Once I changed the password under Service logon, I was able to start the biztalk host instance.

        Thanks for your help

How do we change this password? I mean where to find the service logon

          • #26570

Goto Run-> type services.msc->select Enterprise Single Sign-On Service->Right click and select properties->click the tab Log On-> Here you can change the password

You may also need to change the BizTalk related services password in the same way.
