Converting custom adapter from BT2004 to BT2006 – problem?

We are currently converting from BT2004 to BT2006. For one of the applications we have a custom adapter. I have converted and installed the application on BT2006. The files are transferred correctly, but then ones in a while the process shuts down . The error message in the application log says:

Biztalk DW Reporting
Faulting application btsntsvc.exe, version 3.5.1602.0, stamp 4410e6b9, faulting module kernel32.dll, version 5.2.3790.4062, stamp 46264680, debug? 0, fault address 0x0000bee7.

I don’t know where to start looking. The adapter is working fine on BT2004. Is there something you need to do when upgrading?
