      hi all!

I would like to seek suggestions from you…

I have a good experience as Oracle DBA for about 18 months, certified as OCP.

Now new projects required to learn Biztalk and I have learned and i am comfortable in working with Biztalk development.

but i am confused, where my career is going?

because i do not have any knowledge of .Net ( languages , ASP.NET), is it required to update myself with these skills to be expert in Biztalk?

please let me know…how can i build my career in Biztalk..which are other skills to be acquired.

      thanks,

      sree

      Hi Sree,

Normally, developers with experience in .NET (C# language, ASP.NET) have an easier transition learning BizTalk. You would also need to add SQL Server, IIS and Web Services (SOAP, REST, WCF) as the other skills to be acquired, as BizTalk databases reside in SQL Server platform, and a lot of real-world business scenarios involve passing data from/to SQL Server data repositories and consuming web services in BizTalk or exposing BizTalk orchestrations as web services.

If you are indeed serious about pursuing a career in BizTalk, you should look into acquiring those other skill sets.

         Daniel.
