      Hi,

I want to install Biztalk Server 2004 Enterprise Edition on Windows XP machine (On laptop). Can you please explain me the steps to follow through ? I have gone through so many articles but none of them have given good explanation ! 👿

      Thanks,

The best way is to really read and follow the installation guide available on Microosoft.com. Just go a search on the site for Biztalk 2004 Installation Guide and you should find it.

      Good luck!

I have 2006 Ent Ediotn running on XP.

I think I put Ent Edition of 2004 on my XP too. But again, I’d have to double check the installation guide.

You have to make sure you have SQL 2000 Dev Edition though.

To give details on the steps to install it would.. well…take a long time. Chances are, it is going to fail the first time. I just have no luck installing 2004.

If you have a specific question, I might be able to help better.

I referred Kishore to this forum. I told him that Enterprise Edition probably requires Windows Enterprise server – and he probably needs to use the developer edition – is that true?

P.S. Kishore – I also referred you to this page – did it help?

The QuickStart Guide to Installing & Configuring BizTalk Server 2004 for Windows Server 2003
Even though it says for 2003, the steps for Xp are not much different.
