I am working on a simple integration project which will require polling an Oracle 10g database. I am familier with SQL and successfully pototyped some of the project using a SQL backend within a day or two. Now that I come to implement the project using the Oracle Db I have come across an issue which is really frustrating me.

I have implemented the Oracle adapter from the Adapters for Enterprse applications SDK and can insert and retrieve data from the Oracle Db up to a point. The scenario is:

I have a receive port that uses a polling SQL statement and a post polling SQL statement to ensure that data is not processed twice. I am using Native SQL events and have the NativeSQLService schemas set up. Now if I hook up a simple flat file send port filterin on either the receive port name or message type (in this case http://schemas.microsoft.com/%5BOracleDb://DDORACLE/NativeSQL%5D#SQLEvent) then I get a file generated with all the correct data.

      BUT …

When I plug an orchestration into the project filtering on the same message type or receive port name the Oracle Db is updated by the post poll SQL but no messages are received by BT. There are no errors in the event viewer, no service instances listed in the HAT, no suspended service instances listed in the admin console group overview and no flat file output.

I have plugged a custom pipeline in which will archive any messages received (in the decode section) to prove that messages are being processed but I get no output from this component suggesting that although the Db is polled, no messages are being processed through the receive pipeline.

Has anyone got any suggestions on how I can progress and resolve this issue?
