I’m trying to setup BAM on my local developer version and when I get to the part where I deploy the xlsx file using bm.exe it stops before it says ‘done’ and does NOT move on to deploying the view. When searching for the error I get one relative hit saying I need ‘Microsoft.VisualStudio.Tools.Applications.DesignTime.dll’ sitting in C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\Common7\IDE\PublicAssemblies and installed in the GAC. I don’t have that file and when trying to download it from microsoft I can’t find it.
I’m not sure if I should download it from a 3rd party (dll4you.com)??
THIS IS WHAT SHOWS IN THE CMD CONSOLE:
C:\Users\jstiles\AppData\Local\Temp\BT Server\MSI\Program Files\Tracking>bm deploy-all -definitionfile:”c:\users\jstiles\documents\projects\837response\bamdefit.xlsx

C:\Users\jstiles\AppData\Local\Temp\BT Server\MSI\Program Files\Tracking>THIS IS THE ERROR IN THE EVENTVIEWER:

The BAM tools are installed and configured, however, the BAM Portal is not setup correctly in IIS. I don’t think that has anything to do with it but I’m at a loss at this point.
Any ideas??
Thank for any help!!

So it turns out I did not have my bam configured properly and the bm.exe file was not in the program files folder where I had installed biztalk (Program Files\BizTalk\Tracking). Once I configured, then applied configuration the bm.exe file was there. Then I had a different error when it got to the 'deploying view' part regarding login failed. I had to give the sql server account dbo access to the bam databases. Now I was able to run the bm.exe deploy-all successfully.
