I’m working on a research to evaluate BizTalk software against SAP.

I know that there is an adapter built in BizTalk to support SAP.

But, this is not what I want, the question is \” can anyone provide me with the main differences between the two technologies BizTalk and SAP?\”

For example, in term of flexibility and ease of use, cost of buying, available tutorials, installation, etc..

      Many thanks

No I don’t. I don’t use SAP in the project.

Can you provide me with any websites that talks about such comparison.

Am evaluating BizTalking software as well, are there any helpful links to evaluate BizTalk i.e. the dark side of BizTalk, when is BizTalk so helpful and when it is not and so on.

Your concern will be highly appreciated.

This would be like comparing a Swiss Army knife to the Swiss Army.

SAP produces a vast amount of highly functional business software from ERP, CRM, SCM etc.
Biztalk is a highly functional Integration Engine based on the .NET Framework

SAP have a product called NetWeaver, a Java based Integration engine. One of the main purposes of NetWeaver is to open up the SAP systems using Web Service interfaces rather than the proprietary BAPI or IDOC interfaces.
Netweaver is not nearly as functional as Biztalk, in fact SAP recommend using Biztalk or IBM WebSphere when process orchestration is required.

Do you already have any SAP software?
