Hi guys, I don’t know much about BizTalk Server But I work as a DBA in a company and sometimes I get this error

Execute batch error. Exception information: TDDS failed to batch execution of streams. SQLServer: SERVERNAME, Database: BizTalkDTADb.SHUTDOWN is in progress..

After that the SQL server instance shuts down and I have to restart the SQL Server Service in order to work properly. The thing is that for restarting the service I need almost 30 seconds. I must not have the server down not even for one! Can you tell me why this could happen?? And If yes, can you tell me how can I stop this??

Is the DTA Purge and Archive Job enabled?  This job keeps the tracking database (BizTalkDTADb) from growing too large and causing problems.  Also the Backup BizTalk Server job needs to be enabled to maintain a healthy size for the message box.

Thank you very much for your reply! Well both of the jobs run normally. Do I have to schedule a different backup plan on these databases? Am I allowed to schedule a Log back every 1 hour?? I really don’t know how these databases have to work.! I’ve read in a document that you must not take a backup while the jobs are running for DTA and MsgBox.! Is it true what I have read? Thats impossible cause the job runs every minute. However I have scheduled a plan for full backup everyday on these databases in time that there is no such traffic.

Anyway. How can I stop this thing (to shutdown the SQL?) Any suggestion?

        Thanks,

        Panagiotis
