We have BizTalk 2002. We generates 997 name using %datetime% macros in send port. We are updating our system to Biztalk 2006. When I used %datetime% in connector’s File mask property of send port, I got error as mentioned below.
An error occured in th File system connector. Check the details.Placeholder [#], file mask [ABC%datetime%.txt].
Using the %datetime% macro in the FILE adapter should work without issue, however there is no need to wrap it in angled brackets (i.e []). You enter the macro in the File name text box when configuring the FILE adapter.
However, you mention the file connector and not the adapter – are you sure you’re using the file adapter?
Nick.
