      Hi,

I am new to Biztalk and need some guidance with exception hanlding. My orchestration has 4 to 5 consecutive calls to 3rd party webservices and any of the calls could fail with a service not availabel etc error. I want to catch this exception and throw it to the the orchestration invoking process in a different way. I saw the scope shape and throw exception. But i do not see a catch exception shape in the toolbox. Also how do i define my custom exception?

       Thanks,

      RH

PS : Any ideas for the best books in the market on BZT2006 would also help!

To catch an exception you put the parts that can throw the exception inside a Scope shape, and then right click on the scope shape and select the Add Exception Handler option from the context menu.

Thanks. I figured that out. Would you know of any good reference books for BizTalk 2006

I haven't read it myself yet, but the BizTalk 2006 Recipes book was recently released and it has received some very positive reviews. You might want to check it out.
