Hi
I'm looking for some kind of comparison chart where the the Biztalk Branch edition is included and compared to the other versions available. Could someone please point me in the right direction?
I've for exampleh eard that Business Rule Engine isn't included, but i need that and some other things confirmed.
Thanks

Branch edition exists primarily to support RFID. You would typically deploy Branch edition at a warehouse so that the RFID readers could communicate with BizTalk RFID. You would not want to purchase Branch edition unless you are working with RFID.

From http://www.microsoft.com/biztalk/howtobuy/faq.mspx
"BizTalk Server 2006 R2 Branch Edition (BR) is a specialty version of BizTalk Server designed for hub and spoke deployment scenarios. Branch Edition (as the spoke) is used in conjunction with Enterprise Edition (at the hub) to support the distributed intra-enterprise connectivity needed for RFID scenarios, host gateway connectivity, and hub and spoke deployments. "
This would definately rule out Branch edition for you.
Based on what you provided, I would thinkg that Standard edition would probably be your best bet:

That's too bad. I miss the old Partner Edition. One would think that Microsoft could show a comparison chart anyway, wouldn't you?

If you are just looking for HWS and the BRE, any version of BizTalk maybe overkill for your solution. Have you considered some of the open-source BRE tools such as NXBRE (http://nxbre.wiki.sourceforge.net/) or Drools.Net (http://droolsdotnet.codehaus.org/) and possibly K2 for the workflow aspect?
Nick.
