We have a current Biztalk 2006 R2 install which has it’s databases on a separate sql server 2005 server which is being repalced. We are wanting to replace this SQL Server with a SQL 2008 active/passive cluster. Can you and is anyone running Biztalk 2006 r2 using sql server 2008 for the backend databases?
It is technically possible to use BizTalk Server 2006 R2 with SQL 2008 but it’s not supported and Notification Service is out of the product (separate DL) in the SQL 2008(If you use BAM).
SQL 2008 is supported in BizTalk 2009
