Hey Gurus,
I recently installed the WCF LOB adapters on a development server.
Now I tried to do the same on the productive machine, but the WCF Adapter (WCF-Custom, …) won’t show and the LOB Adapters from the Adapter Pack 2.0 are also not available (Also not in VS2005 with Add->Generated Items)
We have a BTS2006 R2 on a W2k3 Machine (32Bit)
I checked the machine.config and it shows the bindings for the Adapters from the 2.0 Pack….
I dont’t know what to check next.. any suggestions?
What might be of interest: When I point to Adapter -> New in the MMC, the WCF-Custom Adapter is available in the dropdown…

Hi Julian,
Your best bet is to compare what software is installed on your development server vs. production machine and go from there.

thanks for the suggestion.
I already did this and couldn’t identify any major differences that should have an impact.
The only difference I came across: The development machine is a “One Box” installation with BTS and SQL on one machine. The productive System has a dedicated SQL Server (x64) and one BTS (x86)… But I also don’t see how this should have an effect on the installation.
I toyed around a little and found out, that I’m able to choose from the wcf custom Bindings (SAP and SQL) when I open VS2005 on the productive BTS and point to “Consume Adapter Services”. The Generation is also working.
But i’m just not able to see the corresponding Adapters in the MMC…
Any comments are welcome (and much needed)
