  Hi All,
  
  I get the above error.
  
  I am trying to call a sp using SQL send adapter, that sp calls another sp in another server using link server.
  
  When i run the sp using sql query analiser the sp works fine. but calling the sp from biztalk2006 sql send adapter throws the above error.
  
  Any help / guidence is much appreciated.

  And you're confident that DTC is up and working? DTC must be enabled on BOTH the database server and BizTalk Server(s). You can test DTC by using the DTCPing or DTCTester tools.

    Hi Richard,
    
    Thanks a lot. RPC did fail. And after some investigation, the Biztalk Server was not on the same domanin as the SQL server.

      Can you confirm that none of these (http://blogs.msdn.com/florinlazar/archive/2005/09/16/469064.aspx) are the problem?
      
      EDIT: Actually, go through these (http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-US/library/aa561924.aspx) steps first.
