Saving xml as string to sql.

Hi, i get this error when saving xml string to sql.  ‘<‘ is an unexpected token. The expected token is ‘”‘ or ”’. what i did in my message assignment was passed the received msg to variable then got the outer xml from that variable to another variable then replaced the “<” with “!!” and “>” with “||” then loaded the xml.
