Hi all, Total newbie here so please don’t shoot! I am looking at my first project and am stuck on this issue. I have been ableto successfully create the schema, map, orchstrate and deploy my biztalk project to connect to an ftp server and receive a xml file and then map the contents to send to a SQL server. My next requirement is to copy the file in its raw format to another file location in the domain (not local computer) before the file goes through the pipeline within biztalk. Is this possible? I have looked at the receive location properties and can see that you can execute some ftp commands before the GET command is run but I have looked and I am unable to copy the file to a domain location (from what I can tell). Would this be your suggestion to try or would you do it some other way? Many thanks for reading this and your thoughts are most welcome. Thanks, Mike

Could you clarify what you are trying to do on the send of this file?  Are you needing to send the file to both a location on your “domain” which I assume is your local network as well as FTP it somewhere remotely?  Also, you are speaking of needing the file to be written to the “domain” before being sent via FTP, does the order matter, or do you just need to write the file to two seperate locations?

      Mike,

I have a receive pipeline component that I can send you that will archive messages as they are received by BizTalk. The component can be used in either the Receive Decode or ResolveParty stages.

Drop me a line at [email protected] and I will forward you a copy.

      Cheers, Nick.
