       Dear Gurus,

I am new to BizTalk 2006 and I am having an issue validating a syntactically valid 837P file aganist the HIPAA 837P schema. When I tried to validate the file using the Editor,I got a bunch of errors in the Error list. Some of the errors are shown below.

Error 1 Non Segment level  : [5] X12_00401_837_P\ The element ‘X12_00401_837_P’ in namespace ‘http://schemas.microsoft.com/BizTalk/EDI/X12/2006’ has invalid child element ‘UnrecognizedSegment’. List of possible elements expected: ‘ST http://schemas.microsoft.com/BizTalk/EDI/X12/2006:BHT_BeginningOfHierarchicalTransaction_TS837Q1′.
       C:\HIPAA\TEST.837P

Error 2 Non Segment level  : [4] Number of included segments do not match
       C:\TEST.837P

      Error 7 Segment level  : Segment ID – ISA : Position – 1 : [1] Unrecognized segment ID
       C:\HIPAA\TEST.837P

My Envelope Header is shown below. I just copied upto BHT. The file is syntactically valid in BizTalk 2002 and other syntax checkers.

      ISA*00* *00* *ZZ*111111111 *ZZ*555555555 *071024*0126*U*00401*690051564*0*P*:~GS*HC*111111111*555555555*20071024*0126*51564*X*004010X098A1~ST*837*000000001~BHT*0019*00*

I played with all the options available in the Editor. Made sure the delimiter are correct and stuff. Still no idea. I really appreciate if you guys could shed some light on this.

I was looking at the HIPAA 837P schema that came with Biztalk and couldn’t find the Envelope Header. Same with the other HIPAA schemas. They don;t use the envelope header in the schemas any more??

      thanks,

      gjoseph.
