      Hi guys,

I’ve posted this question before, but I sill haven’t quite figured it out… so I thought I’de give it another try.

I can’t understand why sometimes the BizTalk Service fails to restart after a network fall-out. (read: I manually disable the NIC from HP ILO)

All the service dependences are set to “automatic”, and the recovery settings are all set to “restart the service” with intervals of 1 minute…

I’ve tried to increase the restart interval from 1 to 3 minutes, and this is seemingly working… why?

One explanaition is said to be possible DNS trouble, which in turn causes a long period of credential verification in RPC -> timeout… (?)

An elaboration of my problem will be greatly appreciated!

      Thanks, Ole-Petter

Is there any chance that your problem is Active Directory related?  I am not so sure it is but thought you may find this info useful….Whenever we would patch our Domain Controllers adn re-boot them even though we have redundant DCs, we would have host instances being shut down
