      Hello,

In our Biztalk group, we have 2 BTS nodes and the DB is on a third server.
It has happened that all this 3 servers have been renamed (Computer names changed;IPs changed) without        giving much thought.

Expectedly,we find that it has completely knocked out Biztalk.
Can anyone advise on the process to get it back working(ofcourse without reverting to the old name!)?
I mean, are there any recommeneded steps to get it up and working?
            Thanks in advance

      Regards,
      bm

Renaming a BizTalk Server is not a good thing as I’m sure you have realized.

The only thing I know to do is totally un-configure your BizTalk Group and re-configure them.
Doing this, you will lose all your Hosts and Applications that they will need to be re-installed / re-imported when you reconfigure.

I don’t have any better approach than that… although you might be able to hack your way through the SQL tales to find any named references..

I had to do this when Deskside Support swapped out my laptop.  It was a major pain for a dev laptop.  I can’t say that these are “ideal” steps, but I did follow the link below to get my dev box back and working….definately “Buyer Beware” though
