Hello,
We have a biztalk app that loads data into a Terradata DB.
Our biztalk environment has 3 nodes.. it is seen that the failure
is consisitently occuring on 1 of the nodes…
The error message is:“The ‘TDOLEDB.1’ provider is not registered on the local machine.””
Can anyone please help?Thanks

Hi,
From looking at the error description, it would seem that you are missing a DSN connection on that particular node, which is being called by the BizTalk application. Check the list of DSN connections on that node with the 2 other nodes (that work) to see if that’s the case.
Good luck!
Daniel.

Hello Daniel,
Are you referring to the ODBC Datasources in Admin Tool under Control Panel?
if yes, is that applicable here since this is OLEDB driver?
Kindly clarify
thanks

Hi,
Sorry for misleading you on this one: it’s not the ODBC datasources that you should be checking.
Check to see whether or not the OLE DB Provider for Teradata is installed on that node, if not, that should lead you to resolving this issue.
My apologies,
Daniel.

Hello , we resolved this: For TeraData OLE DB Provider to work correctly, there are 2 dependencies to be installed; Shared ICU library for TeraData TeraData GSS. Both were not installed in our server; once installed, it worked; Thanks

One question – how do you connect to Teradata from BizTalk? Do you use any adapter? or custom adaper?
We need to connect to Teradata and would like to know how to do that

Hi anonymous,
I came across this webpage on the Teradata’s website for downloads, regarding an installation package for Teradata Tools and Utilities, which includes Shared ICU library for TeraData and TeraData GSS (mentioned in one of the posts on this thread). You will have to create an account in order to do the download of the package.
Hope this helps.

Use OleDB provider for TeraData.
