      Hi,

I am receiving the below error when I am trying to add a UDDI role using server manager on WIN2K8. This has BTS 2009 Dev already installed. Any thoughts as to what might be causing this issue. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the uddi and added/removed the role as well.

FYI. This box is not built from scratch and had BTS 2009 installed/configured/unconfigured etc etc. It was in bad shape when I got my hands over it. I installed VS2008, SQL Server 2008 and BTS 2009.

Please give me some insight as to what would be causing this.

Just an update. I receive the same error when installing UDDI from BizTalk Media.

      — RESOLVED —

The default website in IIS “Default Web Site” was renamed to “XXX_SITE” on my server. UDDI 3.0 configuration looks for “Default Web Site” by name (not by ID) and since it did not find the site, the below error was thrown and the configuration failed.

I created a new web site with the name “Default Web Site” and configuration was successful creating uddi. Worth noting this point.

What a strange error.  I can confirm that this method worked for me as well.
