      Hi,
I am looking for some information about AS2 capable in BTS 2006 R2. Do we
have to install whole BTS 2006 R2 on the server that we want to use for AS2
      transaction?
We have servers in 2 levels, one is production server and other one is DMZ.
I would like to send and receive files through DMZ server using AS2 . We
already have BTS 2006 R2 installed on production server. All the BTS
solutions will run in production server. Do we need to install whole BTS 2006
R2 on DMZ server also? or what components I need to install on DMZ in order
to use AS2 from BTS 2006 R2?  I want to send and receive through DMZ.

For me it looks like we need to install BTS 2006 R2 on DMZ server as well,
      in order to use AS2.

      Thank you,
      Siva

      Siva:

Yes, you’ll need a full installation of BizTalk Server 2006 R2 on the box that will receive the AS2 messages because the BizTalk HTTP handler (BTSHTTPReceive.dll) is what is dealing with the inbound requests.  One thing to consider is the use of a reverse-proxy to route the inbound HTTP traffic to your BizTalk server, which is sitting behind your DMZ.   We are using Squid on our system here.

This might be helpful – http://www.visolve.com/squid/whitepapers/reverseproxy.php

Thank you for your fast reply Mark.

We dont like to have BTS on DMZ server. However, you said we need full BTS in DMZ in order to receive or send AS2 messages. So I guess we need to find out some other way to handle it.

I am going to read the atricle you gave it to me. Thank you Mark.
