Hi Anon,

To send a file over FTP in BizTalk, you need to create a message within BizTalk and send it via Send Port configured with the FTP Adapter.

To send a file with the text you have included in your post, you will need to create a flat-file schema that represents the text you require. The flat-file schema is an Xml schema (with extensions) that describe how to turn the Xml into the flat-file representation.

You therefore need to create an Xml message that matches the xml representation of the flat-file schema and pass it through a Send Port configured with a Flat-File Assembler. The Flat-File Assembler will read the schema and turn the message into a flat-file, which is then sent over the FTP Adapter.

I appreciate that this can be a bit of a difficult subject to grasp – there is a good overview of flat-files in BizTalk at http://geekswithblogs.net/synBoogaloo/archive/2005/04/22/37294.aspx

Cheers, Nick.
