After I installed the Biztalk server, I did run “Biztalk server configuration”. The configuration failed indicating an Enterprise SSO error. I checked out the SSO administrator and tried to add my machine, I was unable to change the status of my server to active in the SSO administrator. On the status it showed no SSO database and the status of my machine was represented as “Question mark”. I tried to create the SSO database from within the SSO administrator, this was also not successful. This was the reason I thought the SQL server could be an issue.
So essentially SQL server install was successful, Biztalk server install was successful but Biztalk configuration was not. Based upon the knowledge base on errors the problem seemd to be with the SSO, but since I cannot add my machine in the SSO console, I am at an impasse as how to proceed.
