Re: Biztalk newbie

Hi Skynyrd,

Welcome to the BizTalk community!

I cannot recommend highly enough the blogging community as a source of infomation – there are approx. 70+ BizTalk bloggers out there, if you go to the BizTalk Gurus blog aggregation website, the majority are there. I also have an OPML file available on my blog which lists the BizTalk blogs I read on a daily basis.

There are also a number of very good books out there. My personal favourites are:

  • Pro BizTalk 2006 (Apress)
  • BizTalk 2006 Recipes (Apress)
  • EDI in BizTalk Server 2006 R2 (Apress)
  • Professional BizTalk Server 2006 (Wrox)

You can also find a wealth of technical information on the Microsoft MSDN and Technet websites.

If you have any questions relating to either development, architecture or infrastructure, there are the USENET microsoft.public.biztalk.* newsgroups and this forum. There is normally someone around who can answer any question you may have – no matter how simple they may seem!

Finally, good luck with the start of your new career!

Nick.
