Encrypt data in receive Pipeline

  Hi ,
  
  I have requirement to encrypt the data in receive pipeline and decrypt the data in send pipeline .I know that i have to create a custom pipeline component but i dont in which stage of recive pipeline i need to place this component .Please advice .
