      Hi,

      I’m trying to put togather the best topology for my Biztalk server with 2 x servers at my disposal.

      I need to use both FTP and SOAP based messaging and read with interest the need for Passive/Active cluster – see http://kentweare.blogspot.com/2009/04/clustering-biztalk-hosts.html for details.

      I understand I cannot utilise load balancing AND clustering (with 2 servers) as it’s not advised by Microsoft, so the question is;

      If I configure a specific FTP host instance active/passive as described in the above link, whats the best way to configure my SOAP specific hosts ? If they are both running active / active how does BizTalk route the requests ? Does this provide failover for both SOAP and FTP ?

      I’m a bit confused, thanks for the help.

      PN
