I’m trying to submit a EDI document to BizTalk but it is getting rejected because of the following (error message as found in the Event Log):
The sender of the document is not recognized. Contact the system administrator. (msgnr:0 segnr:0)(line:2 pos:1 filepos:362)sender: [][] [9313938000631][ZZ][]sender: [][] [9313938000631][ZZ][]Looking in the Parties folder in the BizTalk administration console I can see that the following party has been created
EDI://9313938000631:ZZ:9313938000631The EDI schema being used is EFACT_D01B_ORDERS.xsd and below is the message being submitted to BizTalk.

Hi,
Did you configure the Edi properties for this party? Specifically, the Party as Interchange Sender information under the Edifact Properties entry…
Daniel.

Hi Daniel,
No I haven’t configured any of the EDI Properties for this party. I should have mentioned that the Base EDI adapter is being used and not native EDI functionality. The scenario is basically the following:
A file receive location configure with the Base EDI adapter EDI://9313938000631:ZZ:9313938000631 and an passthrough send port subscribing to the receive port.

Hi,
Ok, I see yours was an existing installation of BizTalk Server (with Base EDI Adapter installed) and you upgraded it to version 2006 R2. I am not familiar with that type of setup but you might want to check the following article for interoperability issues (just for your reference, and this may or may not relate to the problem you are having):

Best,
Daniel.
