I am consulting with a few companies on writing stored procedures with Biztalk. Both companies are not pushing the SQL adapter, they are wanting to write their own code. Is the SQL adapter that difficult to set up?
We have 1 XML file that needs to be put into13 seperate tables in SQL.

Hi,
You should take a look at the WCF-SQL Adapter, and here’s a blog detailing how to use it in BizTalk 2009:
Hope this helps,
Daniel.

Hi,
It depends on the scope, timeframe and technology involved. Also, there are some logistics issues since I am working full-time.
Also, you can post a job requirement on this site, as there are sections for contract and full-time opportunities.

I am looking at someone setting up the sql adapter to send a xml file that we have already have developed through Biztalk to SQL tables. Do you mind me sending me your number or email address and I can call you when you have some time or I can send you mine and you can call me when you have time.

Hi,
I don’t have BizTalk 2009, only BizTalk 2006 R2, and don’t have access to the WCF-SQL adapter (licensing issue), so I don’t think I can help you with your request. You might want to try your luck with someone else…

It’s not difficult to setup SQL adapter but depends on the business process. You can call stored procedures via .net component through BizTalk orchestration. Please note that BizTalk 2006 does not support WCF adapter s. But you can use SQL adapter.
