Hi,
I am facing one problem during configuration of biztalk server 2006 R2.
I have cluster SQL server 2005 and i need to use that server as biztalk database server.
At the time of configuration i am facing one error :
TITLE: Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006 Configuration Wizard
The SQL Server <‘sql01’> cannot be used with the SSO Administrator account ‘SSO Administrators’. Local accounts cannot be used with clustered SQL Servers. (SSO)
My user is membere of administrator group of biztalk server.
Please let me know how can i configure biztalk on cluster sql server 2005.
Regards,
– Dhaval M.

Are you using a domian account?
Check this hardcore documentation http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=5251f103-329d-4f8d-95b5-64f99f2f6dfc&DisplayLang=en

Your user is in the SSO administrators group?

From the error message (The SQL Server <‘sql01’> cannot be used with the SSO Administrator account ‘SSO Administrators’), it sounds like it is trying to use “SSO Administrators” as the account, whereas “SSO Administrators” sounds like a local group. Are you sure you have entered the correct SSO service account? This service account should be a member of SSO Administrators, but for security reasons, should NOT be a local administrator on any of the servers. However, your logon account to configure BizTalk SHOULD be a local administrator on all of the servers.

Had exactly the same error today. Changed to “DomainName\SSO Administrators” and it worked fine. Same for SSO Aff Admins. Take note though that it stil shows an error until you deselect/reselect the tick box.
