        Hello everyone,

        I am currently installing BizTalk Server 2004 on virtual machine. Although I have installed SQL Server with service packs 3a and 4, I still receive the following error during configuration:

        Failed to create Management database “BizTalkMgmtDb” on server “…..”

        This version of BizTalk requires Microsoft SQL Server 2000 with Service Pack 3 or later.

        I have changed the server name but nothing has happened.

        I will be grateful for any help.

          Not a particularly helpful comment but…. are you sure you’re trying to install BizTalk on the local instance of SQL Server? The one where SP3a/4 is installed?

                  And SQL Server is running?

                  Seems like a bit of an odd error if you have installed the correct SP. Its a bit difficult remembering back to the good old days of 2004!
